With a history stretching over 300 years, a mild climate, and mountain peaks spanning 10,000 feet, Albuquerque, New Mexico is truly

Among Albuquerque's most striking features are the Sandia and Manzano mountain ranges in the east. The world's longest tram spans the

include the Petroglyph National Monument.
The proximity to the mountain ranges and our temperate climate combine to make Albuquerque a natural home for the largest and most
prestigious ballooning event in the country: the Kodak Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Each October, over 1000 hot air
balloons fill the skies with a riot of color and shapes.
Albuquerque is also host to historic Old Town, the hub of old Albuquerque. Old adobe structures, amazing living history, and a mecca
of southwestern art and jewelry shops encircle the remarkable plaza. Here, as well as across the city, you can find the hallmarks of
the southwest: distinctive architecture, fiery foods, and friendly people. New Mexico is home to 19 American Indian Pueblos, several
within short driving distance from Albuquerque, as well as nine national parks and monuments. A growing city, a vibrant economy, and
warm people are just the beginning. Albuquerque is truly one of the most unique places in the west. Its residents are offered the rare
